The roads have iced over and apparently, Atlanta isn't ready for this type of stuff. So I've been stuck in my apartment for the last 2 days because I have a FWD car and I'm not risking it. LOL I have seen a few Subies and Evos playing around though, and I'm super jealous. HAHA

You're telling me. How they don't even have a salt supply SOMEWHERE in the city is beyond me. Not to mention they are using backhoes to clear the streets...UGH.

I'm just ticked because I've been stuck in my tiny apartment for 3 days now. LOL

shoot schools still goin' in michigan...lucky! today is day 3 that my kids have missed cuz of this stupid icy roads stuff, but in the buses defense i got to see first hand how bad it was. yesterday i made my bf take us out to the nearest grocery store (less then 3 miles) so i could get some milk and bread. we were going 20 mph and were still fishtailing slightly at every stop & corner. oh & the store was out of bread too...the bread truck couldn't even make its rounds! here, apparently, they only salt the MAIN roads like interstates and highways i'm guessing. i'm so glad i'm not due any day now, lol nope not that lucky i've got til april.

New York city is reporting 9 inches of snow in Central Park this morning... Schools are open and opening on time.

I've been stuck in my apartment, too I'm starting to get a little stir crazy.

It's always fascinated me to see cities react this way because I spent most of my life in northern Montana and a few years in Alaska. But then again, it's pretty rare for Atlanta to get this sort of weather, and no one is prepared for it. Ah, well..
