Cool,
I would tape the probe of the thermostat down using the aluminium tape - it stands up to the heat better and doesn't come loose.
And, preaching to the choir I'm sure, but no tape of any kind inside the snakes enclosure - a drop from a hot glue gun works best with zero risk to the snake.
