Re: Dumerils stuck eyecaps
The best thing that I can suggest is to let him soak for a few minutes and then let him crawl around through a wet towel...

Probably leave him alone until the next shed.
Next time he goes into blue, up the humidity, provide him with a humid hide, etc. and they should come off.
Screwing with them when you have no experience in removing them can lead to problems way worse than just leaving them.

I tried letting him go through a wet warm towel but he didn't like it so i sprayed down his substrate and put some damp cocofiber in his warm hide. I don't want to mess with him.

Like Skip said, you may just have to wait for the next shed then...

How much does it reduce thief visibility? I know their eyesight isn't well anyways but I always hear ppl worrying about stuck eyecaps like the snake is in a life/death situation.

One shed cycle won't hurt.
If you're worried, take him to a qualified herp vet.

Did you try soaking him for a good 20 minutes *at least*?
I found in the past that with a bad shed, a good 30 minute soak works wonders. For just eye caps, the humidity in the container and a 10 or 20 min soak might do the trick...
There's a nice sticky somewhere on this... I'll go find it.

Yep.
Since were talking about only the spectacles, you can keep messing with a snake, soaking it, wrapping it in towels, stabbing at it's eyes with q-tips, using tape etc, etc. You'll not only stress the animal out, but you can do some damage along the way as well.
Unless the OP has experience removing stuck spectacles, he has only two options - let it go until the next shed or take the snake to a vet.

Yeah I think I'm just gona let him be and wait till next shed. Not really sure why they stuck this time, they always come off every time. I'm using cocofiber as a substrate and want to change it, too much of a pain to clean but he likes to burrow in it. Thought Of Aspen but will still be a pain to clean. News paper is great but he can't burrow in it.
