The first and easiest thing to try is cover the screen with aluminum foil. If you are using a heat lamp then leave a section open for it. If not, then just leave about a 1-2 inch strip of screen exposed for ventilation. There are a few different ways to do it.

The way I did it when I used tanks was to cut cardboard panels and wrap them in foil. Then I could add or remove them as needed depending on what I needed. This is what it looked like when the lamp wasn't being used...
