Re: Havre De Grace MD Show
Oh and ps. Anyone I should be on the lookout for at this show? Good breeders, helpful people, etc.?

I think anyone from here would be super helpful.
Myself, my husband, and my kid will be with me. I am a short chick with long hair, and my husband is a big scary bald guy with tattoos and a short beard. We also will be pushing around a really cute 2 year old and probably rabidly buying balls and kingsnakes hahaha. Depending on what time it is, JarradW may be with us as well.
You are free to stop us and chat, but fair warning, my husband will talk forever. He loves to talk to everyone.

Rick Krumrine, Adam Wysocki/8 Ball reptiles if he's there, are my 2 favorite guys. Paul from Boa Barn is also a great guy, but he's not there much anymore.
But regardless of what I say, be sure to check out the snakes your interested in before you buy it. Even one sick snake can get by these guys once in awhile.
Good Luck!

Not much of a show. At least for what I was looking for. I came looking for some breeding sized normal females. Actually found 3 from a new guy. He said he came down from New York. HOWEVER all three were ASF eaters. He said he could get them to eat rats, but not all the time. He then said he breeds ASF, so I knew he wasn't trying too hard to get them on rats. Another guy was selling geckos and he had 2 balls in a tupperware file box. I saw the white through the plastic and asked about the snakes. He said one snake was a male and was 22 years old. The other was a 2 years old male. I reached in and the one I wanted was the 22 year old male.
The reson I wanted him was he was a great looking dinker. He had 2 nice white markings along his side. I guessed, he was about 900 grams.
I found out the guy hadn't had them but for maybe a month and he was trying to flip them.
I popped the snake and it was a female. I took it over to Rick Krumrine and asked him. He too popped it and it was a female. So, I bought the snake. This 22 year old male/female cost me a total of $10.00. Yes, $10 bucks. She's a light colored snake with the 2 white markings, for $10 buck.
Got her home and she weighs 960 grams and looks like she could easily get up to 1200 gram just by feeding her regularly. So, I'm hoping I can get her up to size and have her breed later this year. She'll probably make 1500 grams by mid summer.
There were a bunch of Morphs, so whoever was going to buy a morph, they had a great supply of 2010 morphs. Greg Hall was there and we talked for about a half an hour. he;s got some really nice snakes too. Sure wish I had another 2 or 3 racks. I would have bought a few of his snakes. BTW, he had some great prices on them too. he also had a bunch of 2010 normals he's looking to sell cheap. Anyone in the Baltimore area should get in touch with him if that's what you're looking for.
All in all, an average Havre de Grace show , but when I came home with the little girl, I'd have to say it made my day!
Pictures to follow. Maybe sometime later this week. I've got 2 college kids home for the holidays and of course there's RAVENS football tomorrow!
Take Care!

I just got back from the show as well.
I picked up a female lesser for $250 from a guy named Norm (I think. I suck with names). He was really super nice, and gave me a bit of a break on the price. She's a beauty! I am in love! I almost bought a mojo, but my husband surprised me with a lesser instead. I think I might have almost picked up Greg's (if Greg is a big nice guy with nice morphs - he had a great looking albino spider).
My husband picked up a '10 hognose. Just a normal, but he's a cute lil guy, and I love his smooshed up face.
Also met JarradW and took a look at his snake tracking program, and we talked quite a bit.
All in all the show is pretty small. I can't say I was 'impressed', but I probably would have been a lot less impressed if I didn't get my lesser.
Oh I also picked up some heat tape and a few other supplies and some mice pinks. All in all, not a bad lil show, but I doubt I'd go all the time, as it was already an hour drive each way for us.

Re: Havre De Grace MD Show
Congrats on your new Lesser. That's a great price too. Greg was in the first row, to the right once you get through the hall door. About half way down the row on the right. He had about 12-15 snakes for sale on one table. High quality snakes. I know he was selling 2010 Mojaves for $175 or close to that. He also had about 4 2010 normals that he was taking offers on. I think he had on a Fox baseball cap too.
I don't think I know Norm. Rick Krumrine just got back from vacationing last night, so he didn't bring too much He did have some great looking LARGE Leopard Geckos for some unbelieveable prices.
Like I said, the show wasn't all that great. It's not going to ever be a great show, but it does well enough for Larry to keep it going. I do believe there's a Repticon show in Northern Virginia later this month too. I would say that would be a great show to attend.
It's called Repticon Washington DC, but it's actually in Northern Virginia.

Hmm I don't think it was Greg then. Though I think I know who he is now.
I really wanna go to Hamburg in the end of February but I am afraid I will buy too much! We have no control when it comes to great snakes!!! I am going to post some pics of my lesser soon, she's quite the beauty!
The only other show I have been to is MARS, so that's all I had to compare this one to. We got some stuff we needed, so all in all it was worth the trip this time. Plus, we had fun and did something as a family, which is always good.
