You shouldn't purchase a female in hope to breed her in that short of time frame anyway, so this shouldn't even be about that. It's not even healthy, young and obese snakes make slugs. As for the mice, get F/T or try weanlings, or continue to starve. Buy yourself a male mystic and make yourself some mystic potions. BEL's are so yesterday, it's going to be comic how many there will be in 2 years. They will look like today's bumblebee market.

Hey you posted asking advice, I'm giving you reason to keep her. If it's that you wanted so badly, why are you asking. And years make no difference, was she born in jan 09 or dec 09.

Joe I think she is a very nice mojo keep her man, some of my best eaters now were problematic at the get go.

BEL's are amazing a Bel will make the average person stop and say "WOW!" a Mystic potion is nice too BUT will not receive the same reaction from the average person.

I wasn't trying to sound like that, I'm saying if you purchase an 09 female, she should be ready for '12 breeding. That's all I was saying. As for the BEL, they are beautiful, I was only giving investment advice with the Mystics, which I also apologize for. Wasn't trying to break any BEL hearts.

Where is that 2012 breeding coming from. I have 09 almost on the verge of ovulation already. Ive had some lay as young as 17 months old. They dont ALL mature at 1500g and 3 years old. Even the largest female can become eggbound. Bigger doesnt mean better when it comes to breeding.

    Re: Would you keep her?

Rich, '12 comes from the previous conversation I was having with the OP... He purchased a '09 mojave and was contemplating selling her because she wouldn't be ready next season which would be her second because of feeding issues. I said purchase a female knowing it typically takes 3 years. Rarely is a female ready at 17 months, just because she isn't means you sell her?? Why is this so complicated??
