Well I think you could pump some meat on him so he doesn't get crushed by the big girl. Maybe to 7-800 grams.

I've been told by multiple breeders that you just want your males fit, not fatten up by any means. fat males tend to be lazier than spunky fit males. so as long as hes fit and in healthy condition, hes in optimum breeding shape.
also some little advise that goes internet wide, don't type in all caps, it give the impression of being immature or yelling at everyone. I'm assuming your not trying to do either.

Fit is the key.
I'm breeding a 2000 gram male clown and he's super fit and is a very aggressive breeder so far.
I feed him a large weanling/small rat once a week between breeding and no more.
I LOVE large males but you don't want to make them fat
