    Housing Ball Pythons!

I was looking at this old you tube video and a guy had his ball python in a tub with a under tank heater plugged in a thermostat?

Has anyone done this before and what's the pro's and con's on doing this?

As in, he had the snake in a sterilite or rubbermaid plastic tub with a UTH and a thermostat? Sounds like a perfect bp setup to me. That's what I use personally...

If you're asking if it's easier to keep humidity in a tub or an aquarium tank...its A LOT easier in a tub.

No problems with humidity at all. Tubs are great for holding in the heat/humidity and not having to use a heat lamp makes keeping humidity up A LOT easier. I just move the water bowl toward the warm side if it drops a little low, but I really have NO problems anymore. It stays 50-55% at all times and I just move the water bowl over when she goes into shed... Always good sheds in one piece...

I was considering setting up a few bp's like this. I think it would be cheaper than buying a rack. Just seeing if people have set ups like this. If you could post pics or send me a pic of your set up that would be cool

Your going to want a rack if you put em in tubs. Pretty much eliminates all your ambient/humidity/escape issues. Can't escape since they can't push through solid wood!

I have a rack right now and might be getting another one in the future. Just seeing how people keep their bp's

Racks are amazing. I've been using one for awhile and I love it!
