Well gosh I love it all and would have more if my hubby wouldnt divorce me.... kidding.

I have an iggy and have taken care of a tegu and another iggy. Ok so here is my breakdown...

Both can be crazy tempremental espescially during mating season. I have seen mellow fun iggys (gizmo) and I have seen mean ones. I have dealt with amazing mellow tegus...and then took care of one that I thought was going to kill me a couple of times. Both can be unpredictable. But I have never heard of iggys dying easy. I know there are some sites out there that will tell you a little protien is ok once in a while. ITS NOT!!!! Their kidneys and liver cannot handle it and it will cause failure after a while.

So....I know I did not help you huh.......sorry. Just be sure you have the room and you are prepared to handle such a large guy. I love all my lizards and wouldn't give them up for anything....(bites and all) Oh by the way....those bites hurt a million times more than when I was biten by the snake.
