    Question Lizard pet? Help please.

So, my mother asked me to get my brother a reptile for his birthday. He is 15 and wanted a snake forever but my mother will have no such thing in her house. (she is terrified after being attacked when she was little, to bad she refuses to believe it was the bad ownership of the people and not the snake.)
    Anyways!
So i was thinking of getting him a lizard. I am not knowledgeable in lizards much. I know he will want to hold it everyday after school for long periods of time, so around 6PM he would be home to play with it. What lizards are great for handling everyday? I heard leopard geckos can be held for 5-15 min max and get stressed out if handled to long.

any help in what could be a possible pet?
hope the care sheet is on here
Then I'm tiny like a door mouse
    Short like a bungalow house
    Minute like a pixie
You can barely even see me

I would never advise getting anybody a pet for their birthday, unless YOU are willing to take care of it if they don't.

I would def. say a beardie....but read the care sheet first as they can be pricey and take a solid committment. They will need lot of interaction...they will need fresh greens everyday and they will need crickets everyday plus the right lighting. Make sure your mom is willing to make that committment as some kids really loose a little interest in the cleaning-feeding part.

As far as the birthday thing....ya know...my son wanted a snake for his 9th b day. (started our obsession) His grandma ended buying him his first BP. Really I don't have a problem with giving them as presents but the parents are the ones that need to follow up and ensure it is being taken properly.

Lets just say it has advanced to ....way too much to list
