    Squeaks?

Hello everybody, my ball python has squeaked once. Could this be a RI? It was after I handled him for a while and he just made a tiny squeak noise and then hissed. He has no bubbles or mucous but he on occasion lies on top of his hide. Should I be worried?
    Thanks in advance
    -Tim

I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep an eye on him. Make sure your temps are where they need to be and your humidity. I've noticed that when your holding them they do tend to breathe a little harder, because they are getting some exercise. About the hissing, i dunno. Just keep a close eye on him. Hope this helped!

    Re: Squeaks?

Keep an eye on him and watch that he doesn't do it again, but I know that a lot of balls will "squeak" when they're stressed, it kind of sounds like a cricket. Since you say that he hissed right after and you were handling him when he did it and I think you recently transported him by some other posts of yours (correct me if I'm wrong) then I'd be leaning more towards a stress squeak than RI wheezing.

Still, give him time to settle in, and keep an eye out for any more squeaking/wheezing and any mucous. Make sure all your temps are correct and your humidity is good.

Thanks alot guys Yes I did transport him and hopefully it was just stress. He's eating normally now and seems fully settled so for now i'll just keep a close eye on him and if anything take him to the vet's.

    Hello again
The squeaks have been happening again, but there are no other symptoms of RI. Just every now and then, I hold him and when he is close to my ear I hear squeaks. Should I be worried? He eats fine, and like I said before, there are no bubble around the nose or mouth, or any mucous in the mouth.
    Thanks in advance

Definitely keep a good eye on him. Other symptoms could be coming. How long did you give him to settle in though before you handled him?
