I'm surprised Gene didn't escape the other day. He must be exceptionally lazy. I forgot to close the lid of his tank and didn't realize it for almost 45 minutes. I walked into the bedroom and looked at the tank and freaked out, then looked at my girlfriend who went white as a ghost because she had no idea it was open either. He hadn't budged from his hide. However, the one time I purposely left the lid open because he was exploring the top of his tank, he did start to work his way out!
