The Acu-Rites are not designed for reptile tanks. They are designed for houses. Ideally, you would mount it next to a window or door. There is a temp and humidity sensor inside the unit, which would give you your inside humidity and temp. The probe would be ran through the door or window and provide you with the outside temp....
