    post picture.

Females can lay infertile eggs without ever breeding. Called sexual maturity and menstrual cycle. More frequent with colubrids that boids.

Wow, I've never heard of such a thing with a BP. Must be rather rare!

It happens with Females and not as rare as you think. More females you get the better the odds are in your favor

Yea i have had that happen a lot with monitors and beardies, not as much in snakes. But its always weird to go into the cage and see eggs sitting there lol. I guess it would be weirder if you thought it was a male and you saw eggs HAHAHA

    Re: Ok wth

I've actually heard a couple of different stories about ball pythons that laid FERTILE eggs who were never introduced to males, ever. There's a technical term for the phenomenon, but I'm drawing a complete blank about what it is.

No idea if that is what has happened in your case, but I hope you'll keep us in the loop.

Reading back over your thread history a few questions spring to mind.

Is this snake one of the year old ones? Was it one of the ones that was kept in the same tank with another ball python?

What weight is it? What age is it? What sex is it?

Can we see a picture of these eggs?

Can we see a picture of the snake?
