It's nothing. Honestly, the mad "I'm cranky and in shed" bites are just surprising. My rescue girl was cranky and zipped out, bit me and sucked back into her hide before I even REALIZED I'd been bit! I sew and own cats and have stabbed myself much worse with needles or been bit and clawed up much worse than the snakes. They are FAST but that is about it. My rescue male thought i was food and constricted my hand a year ago. That left some bruises, but he was hungry and I was being dumb, ha ha! Use tongs and wash your hands and maybe you'll never have to worry about it. The constriction hurts a little bit, but i just doused him in cold sink water and he let go. Make sure you don't yank their teeth out of get water up their nose if it happens! You don't want to pay for a vet bill as well XD

It's a little spooky, but nothing compared to an angry cat scratch!

Lol, he actually did get my vein. I had a pretty bruise and people who knew what it was from were all freaked out that my vein was infected, lol. Now if a cat had bit into my vein I would have been going to the doc the next day for antibiotics. A friend of ours was a day away from getting his vein surgically removed because of his inside cat!

I've been bitten twice in the last week, both were from honduran milksnakes. Didn't hurt at all. It felt like a needle prick & I didn't really bleed either.

I just got bit the other day and was so happy about it...lol. It was a juve amazon and I was so excited that it did not hurt what so ever. Just really really fast. I came home like I won a trophy, the hubby was cracking up. I was like...no I can't wash it off till I get a pic...lol

All in all I can tell you a dog bite or an iguana bite is wayyyy wayyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyy worse!!

I've only had my BP for 3 days now and he has already tagged me. To be honest it just startled me if anything, felt like a pin prick. He was very apologetic afterwards though

Ahah, the longer i have them and stare at them. The more i am scared to even pick them up. I think the boy still wants to eat me. I do not think i am scared of getting bitten on the hand. I am scared they will go for the face ahah

Re: Ahah getting bitten? so fearful

I have been bit 14 times this week alone all my fault. Not only by BP's either there were a few from boas and those are not fun when it is a 7 foot male who thinks you are his rabbit.... Ouch to say the least on that but the bites themselves are nothing from any of them even the big boy. My only complaint is when they coil and their teeth pull a lil on your skin that is the part I don't like at all. Other than that a little nip is nothing at all. My first reaction ever was priceless if you heard me you would have thought I was being killed in a meat grinder and then I looked and saw 3 lil drops of blood on my finger and felt like a baby. Since then I have realized I'm going to get bit no matter what I do so I might as well just get over it and take the bite and move on with my day lol.
