    Kyas First Rat! And FT!

I decided to switch my snakes over to FT instead of live because it is a lot easier for me to have a stash of frozen rats instead of going and picking up live ones.
Kya didn't back down. She took the rat like a champ. On the other hand Deltra wanted no part of it. Guess i'll have to try tomorrow. I thought id take a few pics of Kya for everyone! Sorry for the crappy pics, my camera isn't the greatest.

Congrats! I remember getting super stoked when they all switched!! Saved lots of money, and time. Also little tip...Try warming them in slightly warmer water next time, and when you go to feed keep it far away from them. To get my picky ones to start I try REALLY hard to replicate the movements of a mouse lol. I use hemostats not big feeding tweezers as its a lot easier to grab the rodent by the back of the neck and not drop it all over the place. Also, I've gotten bit using the tweezers/tongs because my hand has to get so close. I tend to start at the end of the cage and make the snake come to the f.t. And then just as he gets close, I make the f.t approach the snake and BOOM! Never failed me yet...

Beautiful pastel btw, love the pattern!

Do you feed in a different container then you house? If so why? This always looks like such an unneccesary inconvience .....

Congrats. If your normal didn't eat today I'd WAIT to offer again. The hungrier she is the more likely she will take it.
