I know the home depot by me sells under counter lights for like 10 bucks that the lens covers the light completely, I think their 18 inch t8 bulbs, I know plenty of people who use them in their cages. just a suggestion, might save ya some work.

Thanks, BWT have you thought of a "Kreg Jig". I have an idea for stack-ables but I need them to look great too of the wife wont let them in the house.
She likes your setup too but asked why were all the screws visible LOL

Though I dont know how they would hold in melomine? I am planning to build mine out of aspen planks, just need to recoup from holidays
