When they're in the shed cycle they naturally start to look dehydrated because they're not providing moisture to the dead skin anymore, so it's completely normal that his belly scales stick up a little bit as a sign of dehydration. Don't be worried if there's no sign of obvious discoloration (black/brown stuff), it's probably just what happens to him when he sheds. The pink belly is normal, most all ball's get pink bellies near the shed cycle, no worries
