    Temp question I need explained.

The sticky from JFreels on tank set up is GREAT and I followed it to a T. However, I have a question.

I mounted the probe above the heat pad like stated, ran the wire across the tank as such. But I noticed that the temp on the heat pad side reads 110 degrees, yet the temp above the heat pad and the reptibark is at 90 degrees. Bear in mind it is the small size pad ( approx 4x5 inches). The cool side of the tank reads 80 degrees. Middle of the tank is 85 degrees ( measured with a stick on thermometer which I know is not the most accurate).

So my question is, even though the temp on the probe reads 110, should I leave it there seeing as the temp right above the reptibark in the same spot is 90? Her hide is approx 3 inches from that area, almost mid tank.

And the room she is in is roughly 68-72 degrees at any given time. The heat pad is NOT enough to warm the whole tank, so I am using an additional light on top of the foil to maintain the temps.

Oh and humidity is 60-62% .
