Does your burm like to worm?

    ...beacuse mine sure does!

I almost never get to see her anymore. She is my first burm so is this a seasonal thing? I dont really care either way. She's still healthy and docile so she can do whatever she wants.

Smaller Burms do well with a hide if you are keeping them in a large enclosure. When they get above seven or eight feet they usually could care less about a hide. If you provide a hide for your burm the snake will probably use it. That won't solve the problem of you never seeing her, but it will probably keep her from "worm"ing.

I provide about 4 inches of an aspen/cypress mix. I understood him burrowing on the hot side to get to the heat mat but today I found him on the cool side burrowed with just the tip of his head sticking out. I thought it was funny.

She did have a hide the whole time she's been alive but over the last month or so she went under her substrate. I took the hide out and she doesnt seem any more stressed and if anything, she's more calm now. She doesnt hiss anymore when I remove her from the cage and is overall displaying a more docile demeanor.
