need help asap
I paired my first normal ball with my new pastel earlier today and upon retuning home from work hoping to see a lock I came upon a tub that had feces urine and a small amount of blood in it. it appears my normal female bit the male pastel and drew a small amount of blood. both snakes had looked like they had defecated on eachother or at least passed through it. I separated them both after cleaning them off but I'm wondering what the deal is? this is my first attempt at breeding and would love if anyone could tell me what I could do next.

Are you 100% sure you have a male and a female?

Well i was thinking you might have 2 males and thats why you had the "fight" between them.I am not knocking Justin but accidents do happen.

Do you see bitemarks ????
When Balls are breeding its normal to find blood it's from the hemipenis.
But offcourse it's not normal to bite each other.

Yeah, it sounds pretty normal to me. Mine pee and/or poop just about every time I pair them together. They normally leave some blood behind too (they are called "tracks"). It results from the snakes dragging their glands or hemipenes while courting. Unless you actually see bite marks...I would not worry much. Maybe double check the sexes, then put them together again and watch them closely.

yeah I did see very small bite marks on the male but am wondering if it could have been just blood that had rubbed onto him from the hemipenes because it wiped off fairly easy and did not continue to bleed at all. but a definite yes to the trails. thanks a lot for the info guys I appreciate it.

is it possible that I missed a lock while at work or is this just a sign of courting?
