    A Really Cool Gift!

I'm a high school Chemistry teacher. This year I received an incredibly cool gift from one of my students. I recently decided to bring in my Hog Island Boa to share our classroom. She has been great with my students, and for those brave enough, has tolerated handling very well. So for Christmas one of my students made a figurine of me handling the boa. It's amazing how accurate she created the figurine in that when you hold the boa, she crawls all over you. Without further adieu... here it is:

By far the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten from a student!

    lol. That is quite cute..

Now you just need to get a photo, of you to match it.. wearing the white and blue, and holding the snake to match it as best you can... and post them side by side .. LOL

    Re: A Really Cool Gift!

Thanks everyone! I've converted many students to snake keepers/reptile lovers in my 10 years of teaching. My classroom is a zoo! I've sold bearded dragons that I bred for a very small fee, if the students did some research and wrote me a paper on their care. I raffled a young male het albino ball python I received in a deal (and didn't need), with complete set up for free, to the student that passed a "Ball Python Care Test" with the best score. The kids have also rescued dozens of rats I bred that were destined for the snakes dinner table.

It's pretty cool in that I teach at the high school I graduated from, in the very same classroom I had Biology and was inspired to become a teacher. My Bio teacher had several animals and aquaria (including breeding Rosy Boas), and I've followed in his footsteps. Here goes a few of my other classroom inhabitants:
