That was the sound I just made when I learned the hard way why it is best to feed WITH tongs/hemostats!! I could tell all my snakes knew it was feeding day cause they were all showing the "I'm hungry" behavior. So I had fed all but the last 4 of my 2010 BPs and I get to the 100% het albino 'Mac' and I offer him the FT rat pup and he looks straight at my hand like he wanted it...well...he got it...right on the tip of my thumb! I was so shocked that I instinctively pulled my hand back out of the tub (this is the first time I've reacted this way from a bite btw...I know I'm not supposed to pull away..) and little Mac came right out of the tub with my hand latched on tightly to my finger. Luckily he soon let go, and was obviously still hungry cause once I grabbed the tongs and reoffered the rat pup it was an instant strike. I think BPs must bite harder when they are hungry cause I've been bitten countless times before from defensive strikes(my spider is a real stickler) and those dont hurt at all...but this one hurt like the ****ens!! The good news is that I didnt see any teeth stuck in my finger afterwards..Anyways just wanted to share that story with y'all!![]()
