    Like others have said, just because you have seen locks doesn't mean the male has viable sperm, the female is ready for eggs, or that the female has ovulated. Females also like to take breaks from having eggs. It can take months of pairing before anything happens. Most people breed from November to March/Aprilish. It's a LONG process!
