Oh, no no no--the Thursday thing isn't about me at all! The vet that sees reptiles only sees them on Thursdays, occasionally Wednesdays. Even if I go in as an emergency, she isn't there. She's semi retired.
Basically - from your description of how deep it is, he's drowning in those fluids in his lungs. He needs to be seen sooner than later.
