Any tip in how to change from live to frozen?

After fully thawing the frozen rat, use a hair dryer and heat it both sides. My bp's like them hot Use tongs to offer the rat and simulate a live rat crawling inside the enclosure or just let the rat do a dance in front of your snake Always use tongs! Good luck!

I will try the dryer thing the next feeding day!

I think it has something to do with the hair drier. The hot water defrosts them but the drier heats them up alot and gets their fur fluffy agian.

I just defrost them with water but never try the hair drier so i will try it!

Ok! Here it is. I ran through some of the raw footage and tried to piece together some of the main pointers so my clip and split points aren't very precise. Also, since I haven't edited in a good narrative yet, you get to listen to my monotone ramblings. i got a frozen rat and a live rat put the frozen rat "Dethawed" with the live rat for like 10 mins and watched them the sent of urine and poop got on the dead rat and my snake took it! =D

Another cool tip, but you got a live rat and take care of it for ever???... i mean you have rats too?

Oh, that's interesting.

For hatchlings I generally offer the tiniest live animal I can find (mouse hopper or fuzzy) and then immediately follow with a second f/t animal. (same size, thawed in warm water and nose heated under a light).

For juveniles and adults switching over usually takes much longer (months instead of a week or two). I'll only offer tiny live animals, and only once every other week, assuming that if they were REALLY hungry, they'd eat the jumbo f/t I'm dangling in front of them. It works, but it takes persistence. And it's not something you'd much want to do if you were trying to, say, raise up a sub-adult female to breeding size.

I'm trying it with "new borns" or at least pre-juveniles because they are 2 month old. i'm hopping it doesnt take me more than 2 weeks!
