No - it's not really lame. The software cannot be expected to be able to discern when someone is calling someone one and when it's being used as a name. Because the word has been abused in the past, it was added to the censored list to make it clear that calling someone that is an infractible offense. Not when it's someone's proper name though, which is why in this scenario, it's not infractible, but we cannot prevent the censored smilies from appearing.
