    On making a plexi lid

I told you guys I would have a ton of questions

How many holes should I put in and how big do they need to be? Also am I going to have to hang my ceramic light now instead of resting it on the lid?

The amount of holes you will need will depend on your house humidity. Me personally i don't put any holes in because i have very low humidity in my house, around 15%. If you do put holes in they should be no larger than the size of a pencil in diameter.

Well ideally, you want to get rid of the ceramic heat element and use Under tank heaters. If you have to use a ceramic heater, just cover 60% of the lid with plexiglass and hang the ceramic light over the open part of the lid.

Ceramic/other types of lights suck humidity out of the enclosure. UTH's are the way to go.

unfortunately it is too cold for s/he here in the winter months in our house with just a UTH at least for now we might get the next size up that will cover about 1/2 the tank bottom and see if that is good but now I have her at 40% with the bigger water dish ( i just put it in there and will check on it again in about an hour) and I am about to plexi the lid.. well part of it at least
