I've found though, that in this 'occasionally(very occasionally) profitable' hobby..if you can find a way to decrease costs(without sacrificing the animals safety or well-being of course)...DO IT!!!

As for the water dishes, I just didn't feel like making anything and we were looking for a specific shape/size that would: be semi-cost effective, not tip over, and be large enough to allow for soaking. Wal-mart was the winner there with their plastic dog bowls.
