If you are good with solder iron, you could of saved a good chunk of change not buying clamps.

I soldered my first heat tape for my first enclosure. Took me a couple of tries to figure out that I needed to sand the plastic off the copper strip.

"Why won't this damn solder stick! What the #@*#%&...mumble mumble.....Ah HAH!"
