A clean shed!
Hi everyone! The last time Gene shed, I didn't have the humidity right and it was messy, with pieces everywhere. I knew he was in shed, but his belly didn't pink and his eyes didn't go blue at all, so I figured it would be another few days. I went and checked on him and the humidity just a few minutes ago, and when I lifted him up to say hi, a (nearly) complete snakeskin was hanging off of him! He has a little bit left on his head, but I'm not too worried about that, it looked like he was managing just fine. I'll check again in a few hours and if he needs help, I'll help. Otherwise, I'm very proud of myself for getting things right!
Things I did differently:
1) I didn't have him out of his enclosure as much. Last time I was excited, it was warm out, and I took him outside a few times. I'm sure that didn't help much.
2) I misted the tank regularly, every 2-3 hours or so except when I was asleep or not home.
3) I replaced the tin foil over the screen top of his tank with plastic wrap and taped it down. It held the humidity MUCH better.
Here are a couple pics of the shed skin, it is pretty awesome in my opinion:

Thanks! The weird thing is, his eyes clouded, he got a little bit of pink on his belly, and his colors dulled, but nothing else, I expected it to take another week at least. Not that I'm complaining! Although he still hasn't pooped yet..
