Some of my Dolphin and Whale Pictures - 10 Pictures - DUW

From one of my Summer Vacations in Gloucester Mass.

Dolphin pictures are Atlantic White Sided Dolphins
    Whale pictures are Humpback Whales

Sorry, but I didn't save any of their lives. I just took these crappy pictures.

Canon 50 DSLR w/ 28-135 lense. I have a few other lenses, but this one seemed to be what was needed for this type of photography. It helps when you have a 32 gig memory card too. I can keep on snapping pictures and just delete the bad ones. Two trips last Summer and over 2800 pictures. Not all on the water. I took a lot of shots from around the Town of Gloucester and the many beaches of Cape Ann. Rockport was really interesting.

I think Santa may bring me the new Tamron 18-270 f/3.5-6.3 lense. I don't really like the F stop but dollar for dollar, it's probably the best deal out there now.

    Thank You!

    Nice pics,

That last one is a doozy.

I have been trying to talk my father into going whalewatching up north with me for a while ( I go nuts for killer whales ) but he doesn't like the water much.

I've got a few of my pictures that are going to be included in a book on whalewatching. The one you like is very similar to the one going in the book. I have given up my rights to the pictures going into the book, but I did get a nice little check for my efforts.

Won't it be a shame if your grandkids can't go on a trip and take the same pics in the future?

Are you sure you really weren't on a scouting mission for the whalers?

And it's just some sort of weird coincidence that you started it. It ain't gonna work Smitty. BG is light years ahead of you in the game. Nice pics though.

Maybe we can go whale watching together some time. Only when you're cured though.
