    The ghost trait (also called hypo) is recessive. So if one parent was ghost and the other was not...then she can not be a ghost herself. However, she will carry the gene for creating ghosts in the future, if paired with another snake that also carries the gene. She is considered "het for ghost" because she carries one gene of the pair.
