Now let BG check on the other nonsense here.
Interesting that you're not willing to answer my questions and say that you're going to drop the subject. Then you post 4 additional messages. Which is it Neil? All I'm asking is that you discuss the actions of your newfound friends. I noticed you are pictured twice with the group recognized as the "Cove Guardians". So you are a member of SSC. Please answer my questions? If you want others to respect SSC, please tell us what legal means your group is using and I would really like to know what illegal activities Japan is being accused of.

I can accept a truce, but it's got to be a mutual truce. I'm willing to drop this thread, as long as you do as well.

I do truly respect a group that tries to make a difference in the world, but they must do so within all laws, including the laws of the land. "When in Rome" kinda thing.

Well same applies to you as well BG. Sorry had to say it...

I also want to give kudos to Jim who has changed his tune to asking legitamate questions and putting the silliness of name calling and deflecting answers aside. Quite a few of you could learn from that!!!

Now....as a mod....I want to address the fact that you all think we are siding with BG. I can kind of see the point some of you have made.... HOWEVER.......It has been my experience for over a year now on the board (not necc. as a mod) that there is a fine line and BG has learned to tout it well. He has also learned the art of the poke...(while I may not like it)....some of you fall for it and let it get to you therefore loosing your "typing" cool. Trust me when I say as admins and mods we do discuss things and make rational decisions. It may look to you as though we take sides but we do follow the rules and read everything closely and even have debates on things. Amazingly enough....which I am sure will be shocking to some ....WITHOUT CALLING EACH OTHER NAMES!!!!!!!!!!

What is frustrating to me....is the utter lack of respect on ALL sides that you have for each other. Lets remember ....we all have something in common...a love for snakes...or we would not be on here. If I can ask anything of all of you (All I want for Christmas)....it is to put the high school crap away and just ask questions and give answers. Without all the blah blah blah in it. THAT GOES FOR ALL SIDES HERE

Or their true colors. I personally find this EXTREMELY entertaining. I love going back and forth with people, making fun of each other.

The ones who have things hidden, yes.

Those who are what you see, use it as a vehicle to achieve.

And some folks simply don't deserve any respect. I know it's rough for you nice people like Elizabeth, but it's the plain and simple truth. We each have our own reckoning systems and filters and experiences that lead us to the point with every person we meet or interact with that demands that we decide firmly how we will act. Some have a default of Benefit of the Doubt, or I Trust everyone until I'm shown I can't and even then I'll probably give them several chances.

Some of us, having been down that road, now no longer travel it much at all.
While you may fault those who do not act as you do or think others should, your point of view is not more valid, just easier for the nice people to accept.

    Easier isn't always better.

I'm pretty darned tired of it myself now. And unfortunately, unlike YOU, I can't ignore it because I have a responsibility to make sure everyone involved in this ridiculous little playground spat behaves the rules. But YOU, and everyone else (barring staff) CAN ignore the very thing you're so weary of. So.....why not? I know you're intelligent enough to understand that if he doesn't get any fuel for his fire, it'll die out on its own. So why do you guys keep throwing on the dry tinder?
There's a thread over on fauna right now the subject of which is BOI posts that go on for hundreds of posts. The OP thinks shorter would be better but the thing that has been repeated pointed out is that sometimes you learn really important things about people and how they really are once you get past the fluff and to the meat, generally many posts into a thread.

Take this one for example. Out the gate, it's not so bad. Down the line a bit, more motive comes to light, more facts come to light, more facts are evident that would not have been had this only been a few posts long.

Like you, others have responsibilities. It may be that most don't recognize the carrying out of these responsibilities but, unlike the OP here, not everyone wants everything they do known by everyone.

I know I make people think. What they think isn't as important as that they do. I'm lucky in that sometimes I can get people to think in unaccustomed ways. While that may seem exactly what I'm dogging Guppy Boy for, it's not and it's doubtful you'll hear of it from me again.

You asked. I answered. Generally I just let these questions go but you seem genuinely interested so you got a genuine answer.

I have to disagree with you on this. Everyone...deserves some type of respect as a human being. Be that respect in the form of coldness or staunchness, but still you do not want to drop yourself to someone elses level. Question, point out, demand answers, debate, totally!!! You can get ppl to recongnize who or what someone is without you yourself bending down to that level.

    Just saying....

and by the way......Im not that nice!

Ok maybe a little nice...kind of...

I think everyone sees the normal Michelle on the forum, but as she's said, she's a military wife. They have to be hardnosed and tough. I have all the respect in the world for these ladies. The emotional distress of having their men in parts of the world, that you wouldn't wish your worst enemy to be. The fact that they have to run a family on their own most of the time, but then become a partner when the husband returns. And then the uncertainty of their future. I know I'm not strong enough to go through what she has for 20+ years.

I think she lives her life like we all should. Treat others as you want to be treated.

    Thanks Jim...

from another military wife and "single" mother (due to endless trips, deployments and hardship tours)

Plus doing it in a "foreign" country My entire family is in Germany. But what doesn't kill one, makes one stronger.

You do get to a point where you weed the "BS" out, because there simply isn't time or energy for it. And you get to read people very well.

I've been mostly quiet on these threads, but I find it hard to believe how some can pull the wool over others eyes. And certain attitudes just really make me sick. And no, its not the much mentioned "BG Sickness" as I don't know that guy from a hole in the ground, nor do I care to.

Its not just what you "do", its also the motive and what one expects in return. And organizations CAN be hurt by being affiliated with the wrong persons, or persons that do nothing but turn others off of it.

Ok, I've said more then I wanted. I know for sure that it does no good to carry this on. There are people with certain and obvious personality disorders, and going on and on with them simply accomplishes nothing. You will never ever get through to them. Literally.
