sneezy?
hey guys,
i know this is general feeders but idk were to put this other than here.
i got a pet rat from a local pet store today well he was meant as a feeder but my bp is having trouble switching from mice to rats so im keeping the feeder as a pet/breeder (when hes old enough).
but what i want to ask is...
he keeps sneezing.. is there something wrong with him?
could it possibly be a RI?
and if so what can i do for it?
Thanks,
Mike H.

That's an RI then, or he's allergic to the bedding he's on.

New rats when brought home into new environment will Sneeze due to stress.
It should subside soon within a day or 2. After that should only hear normal sneezing from natural airborne/bedding irritants

yea i thinks an RI i have him on paper towels at the moment just to keep his cage as clean as possible...
i was only asking to see if maybe rats can get a common cold or something of the sort... it may still be possible.
thanks,
Mike H.
