It was tigers where the lady had the big cats lookin for road kill. If you watch close and pay attention to the ones with the snakes. Its the handlers own doing for biting/constricting them. Animal is not taken care of. Owner is being stupid being drunk or high tryin to show off a half starve burmese, and burmese are like garbage disposals as it is. Anyone who handles venomous snakes is honestly got to have a few screws lose, and its just a matter of time before they get bite. A venmous snake will never tolerate handling the way a constrictor does.

Personally not a fan of the show at all. Yes it may show that the owner made mistakes but it mostly glorifies the "bad" pet stigma. For the average person watching the show...they walk away with ...Oh its crazy to own snakes/lizards. Then all of a sudden anyone who owns snakes is crazy and we are all going to get eaten and then it will come after me. Seriously!! Everytime the average joe hears I have pythons....we go through the whole FL story with the 2 year old. They don't remember anything except wild python kills and eats girl. UGH!!

I was recently bitten on the lip by my iguanna. Did some damage probably should of had a couple of stitches. My stupid fault....totally! But there was no way I was going to the hospital. I could see the newspapers and hear the phone call from the show. Why did it bite me....my dumb butt was kissing it.... So instead I did my own fix it job.

All in all we have enough bad publicity and ppl glorifying accidents...we don't need a show on tv doing more.

I definately agree with Elizabeth on this one, but I did watch one episode that was bittersweet that I kind of liked.

It was a woman who was known to let her snakes roam loose in the room while she cleaned her snake cages...she also happened to do this with her gaboon viper (not the most intellegent thing to do, but I digress...)

Anyways, the inevitable happened, and she got bitten on the hand one day while cleaning. Apparently, she bled out, and died soon afterward.

She never called for help. Why? Because she didn't want her animals destroyed. She'd rather die than have the govenrnment come and kill her beloved snakes.

How amazing...truely the ultimate act of selflessness.

Support Animal Planet is like supporting the HSUS directly, considering that's one of their biggest Advertisers these days...

This. This answers everything. I'm sick of people going on "AP'S BEING BAD TO SNAKES/DOGS/PEOPLE/THE MOOD!" Get over it already guys; you ain't changing a thing.

What planet do you live on?? My beloved breed of choice in on just about every news station every day! Problem is that any dog that has short hair and a muscular build is labeled as a "pit-bull". No one knows what a "pit-bull" is as there is no definition of one anywhere because there is not a breed of pit-bull. They also do not want to learn the history or the DNA history of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
Sorry my A.D.D. kicked in, I didnt mean to high-jack your post but you hit a touchy subject with me.

I'm glad I'm not a grammar nazi, else my head might have simply exploded while reading this thread.

Don't they teach proper grammar in school anymore? Or is it a shift in our culture that accepts run-on sentences, fragmented sentences, misspellings and lack of punctuation in our writing as somehow 'normal' and acceptable? I'm not saying we should be 'all proper, all the time,' but sheesh...can't we take just a little extra time to make our posts readable?

I'm (mostly) just kidding around here. I know it's not that big a deal, but sometimes I do worry about the current state of the English language.
