I prefer to let them soak in a nice marinade in the fridge overnight, and then pop 'em in the oven for a quick bake.

Or just feed live I don't miss trying to feed F/T at all.

The best thing that has worked for me, especially when switching from live to F/T is to get the snake all excited by putting a live rodent into the tub with them, and then when the snake isnt looking sneak a F/T into the tub and walk it right up to the snakes face...has worked for me everytime!!

After the baby is a well established feeder I will skip a week or two feeding.. then I will pre-scent the room and warm the prey up with a hair dryer.. 9:10 this is enough to get them to feed. The ones that have just awesome feeding responses will normally just take a nice warm rat no issues..

I'll stick with live, my snakes especially the female, are usually waiting to strike as soon as I open the tub, the whole bait & switch won't work for me

    Just wait it out.

All of ours take F/T no problem, if they don't, they eventually do.

The only stubborn feeders we've had....refused a live treat. So we stuck with f/t, eventually they got hungry and ate.

No need to go through any hassle at all, just heat (water), dry, feed. Easier than keeping live food IMHO.

I let mine defrost and then make it warm by holding it in my hand to get some heat in it.

The hair drier has worked wonders for me.
