    A little smear of blood from the vent is normal in a shed....and I would guess that it's not all that unusual a result from mating either, if the male gets a little overenthusiastic or something. I'm not a breeder myself and am just guessing on that, but it makes sense to me. The tissue around the vent can be delicate.

    As for the pink belly...I've had some stay pink for several days before the snake goes blue.
