I am trying to feed him a live hopper mouse. Which is what I was told to feed him when I bought him because thats what he was eating. Today I blacked out the sides and back of the cage as well for comfort and security. He was on aspen shavings in the container he was in when I bought him and now I have him on care fresh bedding. Also, I have 2 rosy Boas and I remove them from the cage to feed them to avoid them becoming "territorial" in their cage. Every time I have tried to feed my bp I have removed him to a smaller cage as well. should I try to feed him in his cage and just put the mouse in it to see what happens? last time I tried to feed him I was trying a white mouse, now I am going to try gray tonight and see if the color has anything to do with it. I dont have a scale to weigh him so i dont know what he weighs, but he is the bp in my avatar. The cage is currently at 76.6 on the cool side (left), where he is now under the log hide, and the warm is at 90.4. on the top is the little critter keeper with the mouse in it, (im hoping he will smell him) the lamp on top is the ceramic heat emittter and the uth is under the log on the right.
