Poisoning your water supply, very smart.

So I was out of town for the holidays... and when I got back tonight I found my axanthic had a.) pooped in her water bowl and b.) had diarrhea. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they probably happened in that order... first she had a normal bowel movement in the bowl, probably shortly after I left... then she got thirsty and had a drink from her polluted water... and then she felt sick and had the runs.

Assuming that's what happened, what do you think I ought to do? Besides change her water and clean the tank. Should I wait a week to feed her? Feed her this week? Wait and see if she has diarrhea again?

Or should I take her straight to the vet?

(I mean, I'd be pretty darn sick if I drank my own toilet water...)

i doubt she went to bathroom back to back like that. most likely it was a mixture of both at the same time, you'd be surprised how many targets they can hit at once
