So what happens when you mix a blonde pastel and a lemon pastel...( I know you can get a super) Do you get different pastels in the clutch with the chance of a super pastel being the mix of the 2 different lines??

anyone know if one of the lines has a stronger gene and show through more? or does it just become a mut and lose it's line name and become a "Pastel"

This is my personal viewpoint on pastels....strictly my opinion and in no way scientifically endorsed.

I believe way too much emphasis is placed on "lines" of pastels. A pastel is a pastel is a pastel. Yes, they can have a variety of traits that express better in some than in others...lots of blushing, for instance, or high contrast between yellow and black. But in ANY line of pastel, you will find excellent examples and poor examples. And as I mentioned in an earlier post, the "lines" have been blended with so many different people breeding them for all different sorts of projects that it's almost impossible to be sure you're getting a specific "line" unless you buy it directly from the source.

Personally....rather than looking for a specific label attached to a pastel....I will look for an animal that is most likely to keep a bright yellow color...with a deeply faded head...and tons of blushing. Doesn't matter what someone calls it...that's what I'd be looking for.
