....I got Chevelle a Black Pastel BP on Thursday. Gave her a few days to get used to her new home and offered her a hopper tonight. Well, she likes her new home and was hungry and ate for me! YEAH!!!!

Also, one question for everyone. Do you prefer to feed your BP's in their living area or remove them to another place to feed?

If you like moving adult size snakes with a full stomach in feeding mode, Go ahead and feed in a separate place. Just be cautious as you will get bit sooner than later.

With collections as they grow its the smart thing to do is feed in the enclosure.

Congrats!! It's SO gratifying when they behave the way we think they should!

I feed mine in their own enclosures. Never saw any need to do otherwise. There has never been any confusion on their part about whether or not food was coming, or if it was just me picking them up.

I feed all of my snakes in their own enclosure. To me, it makes no sense to move them. Ball pythons, for the most part, are a very calm animal. If they do happen to mistake you for food and they bite you their bite does very minimal damage. I wouldn't worry about it.
