    Climbing alot?

    My baby BP has been climbing up the corners of this 20 gal tank none stop for about two hours a day now and he has been doing it ever since i got him 2 weeks ago, is this a sign of something bad? because from what i've heard BP's dont like to climb alot.

    Make sure the enclosure isn't too large, if he is a juvenile ball python, a 20 gallon tank is really big. Also make sure you have some nice small hides in there for him. Climbing and being active at night is fine, but all during the day, it's a little bit different.

    Can you show us some pictures of the enclosure and how it's heated?

    here is a photo of the tank

    temps and humidity are doing good to so it cant be that..


    For heat as you can see I use a heat bulb, its 75 watt but I also use a UTH.

    Well the setup looks good, but the tank is quite large, see if you can put a good amount of branches or fake plants in the tank to both make it look better and to clutter up the tank. Come on man, a new background would be $6 at petsmart, get nice looking one!!! Tank looks good, but just clutter it up a good bit.

    Im prob just gonna put him in the tub I have but I need to get a thermostat first, and the wall paper was nice at one point untill I was putting it around a smaller tank that he was going into and the tank broke so I had to put it back on like that

    Yeah just setup yours real simple so everything will be easy to check and clean out. This is my quarantine setup, real simple and easy to check.

    Ranco Thermostat $58 wired myself.
    Tub $4
    11" Wide Flexwatt in 1 foot increments $5
    Water Bowl and Hide $10
    $77 for everything!!!!
