He finally ate!

We've had Gene about 5 weeks, and he has refused f/t every time we've tried to give it to him. This made me sick, I hated it. Finally, thanks to my tuition refund, we were able to go today and get him some mice. He was eating fuzzies when we got him, so I bought hoppers. The folks at Hoosier Mouse Supply were really nice, and I'm sure they'll be getting all my business in the future. I do have one question though. Since he hasn't eaten in several weeks, should I feed him a second one sometime this week, or do you folks think he'll be okay on one? Thanks.

I would let him prossess that one for a few days then try again. Its allways a good feeling when those stubron ones finilly eats.

I wouldn't necessarily call him stubborn. He was raised on live, and his previous owner couldn't get him to eat f/t. I'm just glad I only bought one box of the frozen . It took about 30 seconds for him to realize the mouse was in there, smell it, coil, and strike. He constricted for about another 30-45 seconds and then started the nomming process. Now he's just chilling under his log probably enjoying the warm feeling in his stomach!
