    View from a Back Yard

    Thought I'd share some pictures from the backyard. I just can't get tired of the view! Apparently the snow is running late this year, so we haven't had any. When we finally get some, I'll add some winter views, too.

    Here's the somewhat unkempt garden...if you look closely, you can see my dog going about her rounds. This is shortly after we moved in...the previous tenants had left the grass in pretty sad condition.


    Plains to the east...lots of cows in the field...sometimes they come right up to the back fence, but not often.


    Pike's Peak to the west...


    A storm...


    Dawn mists...


    Balloons that often float over and land in nearby fields...






    Rainbows...


    Love my kitchen window!


    This spectacular rainbow literally landed right behind our house...that pot of gold was SO close!!!

    Soooo Jealous.... I really wanna see Colorado... I love mountains and dont have chance to go see any of them in like 10 years now... Hoping to go to Colorado (or if money gonna be tight to Tennessee) summer 2011...

    quite a few years ago I took the cog-wheel train to the top of pikes peak, it was quite literally breathtaking You're so lucky to be so close to the mountains.

    I know I'll be heart broken when it's time to move on. The positive side is there's a good chance we'll be stationed back here again someday. But, I've got a couple years here first to enjoy!
