    is this a good thing?

my male pastel locks up with my female norm.

now i know thats a good thing
but it takes him 2 days to get up and start hitting on her, and when he does
    it lasts a good 24+hrs.

and on the 4rth day they stay locked up, so about 2 days straight they are locked up.

should i leave them that way or stick to 3 days on 3 days off?

i know of alot of lock ups lasting this long but i dont
    want to exaust my male.

he has also been off feed for 2 weeks now.

3 weeks ago he ate a very large rat that i thought was too big for him.
after that he went off feed.

Are you asking if you should try to separate two locked animals?

They won't be locked for an entire week. But his being with her in her enclosure for a week isn't going to hurt him - just get back to your normal schedule once they're done.

I would just skip a week! As long as they lock up once every shed cycle(hers) then you should be okay! If they are locking then don't worry about how long they lock for! Good luck on a good clutch!!!

Mine do the dame.. takes 2-3 days.. then locks for 30 plus hours... But he is still eating. I'd keep trying to feed him, and give him a break now and then. if he keeps locking up that is a good thing.

He might just be stuffed fromt he too large rat to eat again.. lol
