I have noticed two things that seem to result in a difference of scale texture.

First: certain morphs seem to have extremely smooth and shiny scales. In fact, I often compare the scales of my black pastels to my retic. I have my noticed this with black pastels, albinos (for the albinos I attribute it to the lack of melanin softening their scales), clowns and pieds

2nd: Rate of growth in the first year, some of the snakes that I fed a bit more often as babies have thicker, rougher scales. Those that were bad feeders, or were kept on a less intensive feeding regime tend to have smoother scales.

If Inadu spent a good amount of time in a pet store, I would guess she was fed irregularly, or smaller meals and that could cause her scales to be a bit smoother, IMO.
