Wow! What a great story! I didn't even know this post was here until I read the other thread and saw the pictures of this beautiful snake. Truly a miracle!

Sorry that I missed this somehow, but I happened to see it today. Unfortunately for those that didn't follow the saga of Grace's life, she ended up going to a long time member on the forums collection. She did well there for about a year, and then I got a phone all that I didn't want to get. Grace (at about 2 years old at this point) happened to eat a meal, and then regurged about 3 or 4 days later. A few days after that, she passed away. There was no necropsy done, so the cause of death will remain a mystery. The owner as well as myself were devastated, but such is life. She will alweays be missed, but will always be remembered by me and all who view this thread.
Thanks for everyone over the years who have viewed this thread and remember Grace.

Very sorry to hear this Tim. You gave her several great years of life that she otherwise would not have experienced. Hat's off to you!

I have to say that I am tearing up a little after reading that. Great job Tim for saving her life, I don't think I could have done that (or even had a clue how to). I'm sorry for your loss but she had a couple good years that she never would have had if you hadn't acted so quickly. God bless you man, it's people like you who restore my faith in people.

Thanks for sharing your story! Would've been good to have a CLS person around to help you! That's Combat Life Saver in the military! We are tought how to do things like this. Because I know you where nervous stitching your first time! I remember doing it on dummy skin! Then I actually got to do it in Iraq in a non combat related incident! But, it was fun and came out without a bad scar! Once again, thanks for sharing your story! Hope she does fine and keep us updated. Also, might want to see about getting antibiotics to prevent infection!
