    setting up new tubs?

    hey all
    i will be picking up some new snakes(babies) .and have been setting up 12qt tubs.. but am haveing problems with humidity. paper bedding. deli cup water bowl. and a hide .the highest i could get the hum to stablize was 41%. .my male is next to this tub .on the same flexwatt in a 24qt with vent holes is always about 55% hum .. not sure what else i can try .. i did move the deli cup back a little so that about half was over uth.. ill be needing 3 of these set up . Oh warm side 92degs-cool side room temp 78-80

    get a cloth and soak it than rub it against the bottom of the lid and sides of the tub so there's water residue but don't make the sides and lid damp to the point where water will drip.

    sorry i should have explained alittle better.. this is in a rack. and has no lid. thanks for the idea lyoto

    Do you have too many holes in the tub?

    If I see the humidity is down in a tub, I will normally mist the substrate with a spray bottle. This normally does the trick for me.

    no i have not added any holes .. i wanted to see where the hum would be before holes.so i knew where to start.and slowly add holes till i got the correct hum..i moved some things around a bit in the tub ..so im letting it sit overnight .also im useing a digital therm/hum with prob .one of those zilla's i just dont get it. guess i need to look closer at the other tub,s set up.
