I'm not really woried.... but flustrated a little.
I got this nice YB male in April. Is a great boy O7 proven breeder. Is really great little shy boy but his feeding manners sometimes get me great headache.
This is his chart
http://iherp.com/HerpTrack/Tracking/...AnimalID=43794
Enclosure is RBI rack 32qt tubs he have medium RBI hide water of course, sanichip are substrate temps and humidity on spot.
My Question is should I be stubborn on F/T or I should try Live small rat... or is just because Breeding season starts and I should find him a Girlfriend ?? ?

IF hes got the weight move him to every 2 weeks feeding during breeding.
Males need to be slowed down on feedings during breeding as they become lazy when they are well fed. Ive noticed they breed better on a content stomach rather a stuffed stomach.
I feed breeding males every 10 days in winter and every 5 in summer.

wow! i thought i was the only one who liked keeping his males plump. my male pastel is a 09 and weighs in at 1000grams. he's a monster eater.
but, he too is being a little stuburn on the feedings because i stoped putting him with his lady because she is in shed, but they've been hooking up since early sept/late july.
that could be why yours doesn't seem to big on the feeding right now.
0.1 Normal (Sookie)
1.0 Pastel (Syler)
0.1 BumbleBee (Scully)
1.0 Butter (Gimme)
0.1 Mojave (Saffy)
1.0 Albino (Leopold)
1.0 Pinstripe (Triston)
1.0 Basset/Beagle Mix (Bilbo)
0.1 Basset Hound (Mimi)
a bunch of red eared sliders
and the oldest, male pit/mix Corky. 18yrs strong.

My males are big just i slow their feedings down in winter months to keep them willing to breed rather sit there lazy digesting large meals.
I dont go out plumping up young males fast as there's no need for huge males since they breed as young as 4 months of age.
Once males get a taste of female they will eat maybe once during breeding season, never eat, or eat like nothing changes.

Sometimes my snakes are stubborn so I give them a live rat to get them back into feeding mode. Then at their next feeding I go back to f/t and they usually eat f/t again for a while.
